Vahid Hajipour, Ph.D.

Vahid Hajipour received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in industrial engineering. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Industrial & System Engineering at Azad University and the Head of the FANAP Studies and Research Center in Iran. He also holds a Visiting Professorship Position in Industrial Engineering at Altinbas University, Turkey. His research interests include Applied Operations Research, Supply Chain Design, Decision Analytics, Business Analytics, and Computational Intelligence. Dr. Hajipour has published four books and more than 70 papers in academic journals and conferences such as Computers & Operations Research, Applied Mathematical Modelling, Computer and Industrial Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, Applied Soft Computing, and Engineering Optimization, among others. He has received multiple Distinguished Young Researcher Awards and the Distinguished Researcher Award. Dr. Hajipour was inducted into Alpha Iota Delta (the International Honor Society for Decision Sciences and Information Systems) in 2017 in the United States.

Vahid Hajipour is Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering at the Azad University, West Tehran Branch in Iran. He also holds a visiting professorship position in Industrial Engineering at the Alzahra and Kharazmi Universities. Dr. Hajipour is a member of the Iranian National Elite Foundation and Young Researchers Club. He is the recipient of the 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2015 Distinguished Young Researcher Award and the 2016 and 2019 Distinguished Researcher Award at Azad University. He received his BS, MS, and PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Bu Ali Sina University in Hamedan, Iran. His research interests are in facility location modelling, supply chain network design, reliability theory, queuing theory, computational intelligence, and Uncertainty Management. Dr. Hajipour has published two books and more than 70 papers in academic journals and conferences such as Computers & Operations Research, Applied Mathematical Modelling, Computer and Industrial Engineering, IEEE Transaction of Engineering Management, Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, Applied Soft Computing, International Journal of System Science, Engineering Optimization, Measurement, International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, among others. Dr. Hajipour was inducted in Alpha Iota Delta (the International Honor Society for Decision Sciences and Information Systems) in 2017 in the United States.
